Sithonia Roundtrip

Sithonia, the middle peninsula of Halkidiki, can offer you a beautiful and interesting one-day roundtrip.

Start with the village of Nikiti, where you can find the Sithon honey factory and watch the processing of the local honey.

Visit Neos Marmaras, where there is a weekly open market and you can enjoy your breakfast with a stunning view of Kelyfos island.

Then it is off to the mountains to the traditional village of Parthenonas, which was abandoned for many decades and it was only recently restored with loving care. Make a stop at the famous winery in Porto Karras hotel block and taste the products.

You can pass by Toroni where you can find many places for lunch.

Take a look at one of the largest natural harbors in Europe: Porto Koufo, the “deaf harbor”, named so because two massive rocks at the entrance protect the port from even the most powerful waves, making the port a place of silence.

Last stop in Panorama, one of the highest peaks of your tour thatyou can go on a photo safari.

From here you have an immense view not only down to the village of Kalamitsi and its bright shining bays, but also of the open sea and on cloudless days even of the holy Mount Athos.

Thessaloniki-Sightseeing and shopping.

Thessaloniki is the second biggest city of Greece and is located about 140 km away of Sarti.

With a variety of historical monuments, gorgeous views and spots.

Thessaloniki is the ideal place to visit.

You will have the chance to see the White Tower a symbol of the city, the fairgrounds, the university area,and the Galerius Arch, the Rotonda monument, the Citadel, and the city walls, where you will get a marvelous view of the city.

Make a stop at St. Dimitrios’ Byzantine church and visit the archaeological museum.

A day trip cannot be completed without shopping! Proceed to Tsimiski street, the main street known for its beautiful shops and boutiques.

For a day of family fun, you can travel to Thessaloniki and visit Waterland park or Magic Park.

Meteora.

A highlight of your stay in Greece will be a visit to the Meteora Monasteries.

You will travel along the coast where you shall view Mount Olympus.

Meteora is a geological miracle which must be seen to be believed.

You shall visit two of the gorgeous monasteries, perched high upon the steep rocks.

Each monastery possesses a vast richness of frescoes, icons, and intricate carvings.
